Weston Luke

Tuesday evening my nephew, Weston Luke Guiltner, died tragically. He was 21 months old. Jamie and I had just been home this past weekend and thankfully were able to spend time with him. He was full of life. He was so happy and so busy. He never wanted to stop. He loved music and loved to dance. It just doesn't seem real that he's gone. We will miss him dearly.

Some Photos

So over Labor Day Weekend Amanda and I went camping 1 night in South East Ohio. It was about a 2.5 hr drive outside of Columbus. It was a really long windy drive. We passed a couple of Amish Buggies on the way to the small campground. The place was called The Covered Bridge Scenic Byway. It is part of Wayne National Forrest. We wanted to take more photos but my camera ran out of room. On the way home we were determined to find out where all those Amish Folk live! Finally on the drive home Amanda spotted some clothes on a clothing line. I didn't see it; of course. I was watching the road. So I turned the car around. It so happened that they were selling fresh vegetables. That gave us an excuse to go up to the house! We park and walk up to look at the vegetables. A young man comes out to help us. He was definitely Amish. They had some of the best vegetables I had seen! And they were cheap to boot! They even had green tomatoes (which Amanda fried up deliciously) We said our goodbyes and drove home.. By the way. I don't mean to make it sound like the Amish are freaks. I am just really curious about their way of life. I find it very interesting..

Saw this AWESOME place when we were test driving cars! If they had beds I wouldn't see a reason to leave.

jamie's gone

so, jamie had to go to minneapolis this weekend for work. it's been very quiet and boring around here with him gone so i decided to work on the boutonnieres. i want them to look really rustic and also to incorporate the peacock feathers. i'm not quite sure how to make a boutonniere, so we'll see... this is what i have so far:

Jenni's, Obama & Us.

So my parents have been in town one night and they have already brought the excitement! First we ate dinner at Barcelona.. Checking it out for the rehearsal dinner. Then we went to Jenni's for some ice cream.. But the most fantastic thing happened when we were bringing them back to their hotel. Up in front of us is the Official Obama Bus! It was amazing. People start piling off the bus one by one. We saw Howard Dean and Kal Pen but no Obama. Apparently he wasn't on the bus that day. I was debating on getting out and getting my picture taken with Kal, but they had gone inside the hotel already. So we were about to leave when my mom came out and said hurry up they are in the lobby.. So I quickly parked the car, ran in and got a photo. We chatted abit and were walking out when one of Obamas people asked if we wanted to see the bus! How cool. Ive been on a million different tour buses but this was like no Rock bus I have been on. This was clean and fancy. It was presidential! No bunks for people to sleep on. Just a lot of cushy leather chairs.. We asked our tour guide which was Obama's seat. He pointed to a leather recliner. I knew right then I had to get a presidential photo! So Amanda took one of me and I took one of her... We felt like we had overstayed our five minutes. So we said our goodbyes and left. They were some of the nicest people.. They even offered us fruit!

Side Note: The bus driver said he is republican but after driving for Obama he might switch... He said Obama was a super nice man...

our first wedding gift!

we received our first wedding gift this weekend from jamie's grandma! it was very exciting an unexpected. she sent us this amazing silverware. i've never really shopped for silverware, but if i had this would have been exactly what i would have picked. it's called "hotel flatware" and apparently in the early 1900's all the finest hotels in england created this table setting by mixing their patterns.

pretty cool, right? thanks mimi! we love you!!!

Parents

My parents come into Columbus for the first time on Wed. afternoon.
We are starting the rehearsal dinner venue exploration...All of us are gonna eat until we explode!!!
